High School Academic Programs in Spain
HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
The High School Academic Programs promote and facilitate students’ participation in a full academic year or part of it at a high school in Seville (with the option to earn credits).
The program is designed to immerse students in global culture by living with a Spanish family while studying at a local high school.
Each student can come individually and choose to attend at any time during the school year, although we recommend starting in September.
For students arriving in September, we offer an immersion course with classes and excursions. The excursions are related to content that will be useful during their high school experience.
At our school, we manage the enrollment process at the educational center and assist with selecting electives and levels, adapting to each student’s individual goals. Additionally, we closely monitor the student’s progress in coordination with the educational center and offer personalized support throughout their stay.

ORIENTATION
Spanish Institute accompanies you from the first moment you arrive in Seville. We pick you up at the airport, introduce you to your Spanish family and start with a welcome meal. Before starting high school, you will do an orientation program that will help you adjust to life in Spain and you will receive information about the calendar, classes, subjects, public transportation, safety and activities.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
- Academic program at a high school in Seville.
- Orientation program. You will receive important information about the program, the city, transportation, the calendar, local holidays, health, and safety topics.
- Academic counseling before coming to Seville, mentoring, and tutoring during your stay.
- Spanish proficiency test before arrival to ensure our academic director can guide you in selecting courses and designing a personalized program.
- Accommodation with a host family in Seville with full room and board; three meals a day throughout your stay.
- 24/7 emergency phone assistance from the Spanish Institute.
- Airport or train station pick-up at the beginning and end of the program.
- Transportation card (bus, metro, and tram).
- Support from the Spanish Institute throughout the entire program.
- Academic certificate.
OPTIONAL SERVICES
- Introduction to Spain (45-hour course at Spanish Institute). Only available for programs starting in September or January.
- Health insurance for non-european nationals with access to the best private hospitals in the city.
- Documents needed to obtain entrance in Spain.
ACCOMMODATION WITH A HOST FAMILY IN SEVILLE
This program includes accommodation in a host family in Seville with full room and board; three meals a day throughout your stay.
Living with a family allows our students to fully discover the Spanish culture, life and people. At Spanish Institute we believe that this is an important aspect of the program.
INSURANCE
Our health insurance gives access to the best private hospitals and of course covers everything related to COVID-19. If a student is unwell or contracts this disease, the doctor may prescribe everything from the necessary tests to hospitalization in case of seriousness.
Spanish Institute has developed a COVID protocol to be able to track incidents that may occur, how to prevent and what to do in case of contagion.
All our programs include a 24/7 emergency service.

CERTIFICATES AND CREDIT OBTAINING
Certificates
You will receive an official transcript from the high school in Sevilla that you attend and from Spanish Institute.
Credit Obtaining Options
All high school academic programs are available with an option to obtain credit. Students should ensure that their home institution awards credit for their courses. The program offers the necessary documentation for these procedures.
